Health Help Now

is a free web service for people in Bucks which they can access from their phone, laptop or tablet so they can check their symptoms and get NHS advice about the best place to go for their health concerns.  All pharmacies, dentists and GP surgeries in Bucks are listed, as well as A&E details and the Minor Injuries and Illness Unit.  The site shows the nearest services and provides a map of their location.  It’s also time sensitive, with details on whether services are open or closed and which pharmacies are open or closed on bank holidays. Healthier You: NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDPP)

We are very pleased announce that Burnham Health Centre non-diabetic hyperglycaemic (pre-diabetic) patients are being offered the chance to use a remote/digital version of the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme as an alternative to the group sessions.  If you fulfil the criteria, you will be  a sent a letter inviting you to join the programme.  With the right help, you can reduce your risk by making lifestyle changes and build new healthy habits.

Bank Holidays

Don't forget that Burnham Health Centre is closed on Bank Holidays! 

Ultrasound

We now have a diagnostic ultrasound service running at Burnham Health Centre once a week.  This is not a walk in service, but the doctors at the Health Centre will be able to refer you. It is hoped that this will save the need to go to other diagnostic centres like those at St Marks Hospital Maidenhead or in Cressex.
